A place to get Qatari Maktoum & Yemani Zurbian

Have you ever come across a mouthwatering dish called Qatar special Chicken Maktoum on social media, in those enticing reels and videos? Well, we did, and like you, we couldn't resist the temptation to try it. To our delight, we discovered that this delectable dish was available right here in Muscat, just a stone's throw away from our office, at a charming little place called Shezan.

So, what do you think we did next? Of course, the lunch for the very next day was set !It was an exciting adventure, and we couldn't wait to savor the flavors.
But that's not all. We had also heard whispers about another delectable dish - Mutton Zurbian. Legend has it that there's a restaurant in Kerala that has been serving this Yemeni delight for years. Intrigued by the tales, we decided to give it a try.

As we sat down at Shezan, our anticipation grew. Two big plates arrived, each holding a treasure trove of culinary delights - Maktoum and Zurbian, both enveloped in aromatic Arabic spices.

The Maktoum rice stood out with its rich red color, a testament to the tomatoes and spices that make it sing.

On the other hand, Zurbian was a delicious concoction of onions and rice, a treat for those who relish this unique flavor profile.The mutton was juicy and went well with the rice
But wait, there's more to the story! The side dishes - the hummus, salads, and pickles - were all in house made, and they added an extra layer of uniqueness to the meal.

The ambiance at Shezan was cozy and inviting, with partitions for those who seek a bit of privacy. The service was good.
